Black Hat Feng Shui
Feng Shui is the art of ensuring that the environments in which you live and work are balanced with the right amount of natural energy by making use of several important and easy to follow methods. Contrary to popular belief, Feng Shui is not a religion nor is it associated with any specific area of faith, rather, Feng Shui is the placement of objects and colors in the right places in your home in order to achieve balance and harmony. In order to incorporate Feng Shui into the western lifestyle, Black Hat Feng Shui was introduced as an easy to follow school of Feng Shui methodology.
All Feng Shui, including Black Hat Feng Shui, is based on the flow of natural energy (or Chi) in our environments. Black Hat Feng Shui makes use of the Bagua, or Feng Shui map, to help you direct the areas in your life that could use adjusting in order to foster harmony. The Bagua is an octagon that represents a total of nine areas of your environment; areas that should be focused on to ensure that the energy within your home is free flowing.
The specific life areas that each side of the Bagua represents are
as follows:
Family & Health – Represented by the color green; and the element of
Wood
Wealth & Prosperity – Represented by the color purple
Fame & Personal Reputation – Represented by the color red; and the
element of Fire
Relationships & Love – Represented by the color pink
Creativity & Children – Represented by the color of white; and the
element of Metal
Career – Represented by the color black; and the element of Water
Knowledge & Wisdom – Represented by the color blue
Helpful People & Travel – Represented by the color grey
The center of the Bagua is represented by the color yellow and is
representative of the overall health of your home; it is also
represented by the element of Earth.
